Jury Is In

As this e-mail goes out the Jury is in. Grand Jury that is, a Federal Grand Jury is in session hearing testimony about Teflon Fast Freddie.

I guess it's time to find out if the FBI can catch a cold. All this testimony has been a hot potato for years but not until someone put in on the FBI's plate and force fed it did they decide to act on it. Much of this information was given to the FBI years ago.

The testimony given of course is just about tribal business. If they were to investigate Teflon Fast Freddie's entire past there would be potential for the FBI to catch pneumonia.

The FBI isn't concerned about Teflon Fast Freddie allegedly using a firearm to commit fraud while being a police officer, allegedly filing a false police report while being a police officer, sending threatening letters through the mail (That is not alleged, I can prove it), three fires of personal insured property of Teflon Fast Freddie.

As Teflon Fast Freddie stated in his threatening letter to me back in 2001, "It's difficult to prove, but not impossible". At the end of Teflon's threatening letter to me he says, "Let the Games Begin." It has been a game of cat and mouse for years and now the FBI may catch the mouse, or vice versa. So far Teflon Fred is the cat and the FBI is the mouse.

Little does the FBI know but the "Games" continue. Witnesses being left subtle hints to keep their month shut! Witnesses at the final hour changing their testimony! Witnesses while being questioned by the FBI not realizing they may be incriminating themselves. How deep does it go????

Heaven forbid the FBI catch pneumonia but it may give new life to the tribe as it has potential for new life for the tribe as many others may go with Teflon Fast Freddie. We all know about the recent "buyout's" the Fed's inflicted on innocent taxpayers. The Fed's however are not going to do it for free; someone is going to be held accountable. Is the light coming on??????? Others should have and did know this was going on and will be held accountable. What is the old cliché, "Ignorance is not an excuse".

What started with Enron's Chief Executive officer, Jeffrey Skilling resigning lead to Enron's Chairman Kenneth Lay, partner Andrew Fastow, etc. The convening of this Grand Jury has the potential of freeing our tribe of all the corruption, greed and incompetence we have suffered for the last twenty years. It depends on whether the FBI catches a cold or pneumonia, which of course is my opinion as I have had a long nonproductive relationship with the FBI.

In the eyes of the public who the FBI serves and protects it means possibly that they may get the shoe polish out and begin to remove some tarnish. Whether it gets to a high gloss is up to the FBI. I would enjoy nothing more than to eat my words and find that the FBI will finally shine but so far I haven't even gotten a nibble. Perhaps there is corruption, greed and incompetence within the FBI?????

We have seen smoke screens before.

Tribal Teflon

Teflon Fast Freddie

Will The FBI Do Their Job?
Or
Will Teflon Fred Go Free Again?

Tony Grondin wrote:

$10,000 a month to Teflon Fred and the BOD changed the rules for healthcare for tribal spouses, scores of layoffs, depleted the Elders Fund, charging tribal members $110 a year to practice their inherent right to hunt, fish and gather, etc. etc..

The BOD also refuses to address any cut backs in the Key Employee department and many of the Key Employees have been through two administrations and are party to the financial problems we have.

Besides Bernard Bouschor and Aaron Payment, Teflon Fred is the most corrupt tribal leader we have ever had. Bouschor and family has and continues to financially fleeced the tribe. Payment went on a childish spending spree and depleted what little Bouschor left behind. The best performer of all is Teflon Fast Freddie who continues to fleece the tribe to the tune of $10,000 a month and the renowned investigative agency in the world, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, cannot make anything stick.

My suspicion of the FBI not being able to catch a cold is becoming ever so clear. On several occasions years ago the FBI ran a fever when they imposed their arrogant beliefs on individuals they felt were indignant.

Wounded Knee, Ruby Ridge, Evergreen Shores!!!!!! We all know about the first two but not Evergreen Shores. Yes, the Big Shots came to my home several times in all their glory. It was not long after Ruby Ridge!!

Bernard Bouschor fingered me as a threat to him and thus the first visit from the renowned FBI, Agent Alienate to be exact. They confiscated personal items of mine and paraded around like they were untouchable. Sometime later after some verbal exchanges my items were returned and nothing ever became of the investigation, not even an elevated temperature.

Again a few years later again the bacteria (FBI) showed up at my doorstep. This time they were investigating an anonymous threatening letter that was sent to me by Teflon Fred which I still have. Even though the letter was anonymous I knew it came from Fast Freddie. Illustrious Agent Jay Johnston, FBI came this time.

Because the FBI couldn't figure out Bernard Bouschor was perpetrating his own threats they now wanted to interrogate me in a manner that suggested I sent the threatening letter to myself. Johnston suggested a polygraph which I jumped on. Agent Johnston picked me up and we drove to Gaylord. After about an hour of secret conniving they finally came up with questions they wanted to ask me.

The polygraph test lasted about twenty minutes and again they huddled in another room. The snotty nosed trainee that tested me told me the test was inconclusive. Of course I knew this couldn't because I knew I told the truth.

On the trip home Agent Johnston tried the good guy bad guy approach thinking I would confide in him. After basically telling me I lied he thought wrong if he thought I would trust him, after all I wasted a day thinking these guys were capable. This all took place in 2001. Not until a court case in 2007 did the truth come out. Feast Freddie was in deed behind the threatening letter to me, it's all on record and in writing. Again the FBI failed to even elevate their temperature. It somehow leads me to believe the FBI is immune to competence especially now that Teflon Fred is again slipping of the hot seat.

I did all the FBI's leg work to prove Fast Freddie threatened me through the mail and the FBI fails to do anything about it.

Was This In The Best Interest Of The Tribe?

Bouschor & Greeks Have Long History Of Secret Ventures

Times A Hundred Plus

In the below link you will see that Bernard Bouschor had a history with the Greeks for nearly 20 years. We had them over a barrel. They contributed a measly $24,500.00 and were not qualified for a license through the MGCB. So what does Bouschor do for his longtime friends? He bails them out costing the Sault Tribe a quarter BILLION dollars. Whether Bouschor did this without the Boards knowledge is questionable to date. Bouschor became a legend in his own mind. Now could the minority partners interested in buying Greektown today be the Greeks? They certainly wouldn't forget their longtime friend who rolled their investment over a hundred times plus.

Sault Chippewa Riches Abused By Tribe Board

Their Actions Didn't Go Unnoticed

Tribal Members became wise to the corruption and took friendly action, to be ignored for 4 years. The Board became totally ignorant to the Members and passed laws that would prevent two thirds of the Members from running for office. At the time nearly three quarters of the Boards blood quantum was questionable to include Bouschors.

That wasn't enough though. Many of the Board Members held high paying jobs within the Tribe and figured they had more coming. So they gave themselves a 33% raise retroactive for 5 years. While at the same time cutting jobs. All complaints fell on deaf ears.

Information Control

Payment Is Now A Bouschor Deputy

Bouschor becomes the ultimate dictator and demands all information go through him. Of course Aaron Payment was the first to complain, so Bouschor makes him his deputy and the word from Payment is mum.

Tribe CEO Rules With Iron Grip

Dictator Control

Bouschor was making multi-million dollar deals at times without the Boards knowledge. Bouschor became paranoid and demanded a tighter grip. Information that should have been made public to the Tribe and Members was no longer available. Board Members who challenged Bouschor were removed from office. The wealth was in one place and it certainly wasn't with the Members. Fifteen years after the first Casino opened the majority of the Members still qualified for some kind of Federal assistance. Bouschor left most of his dirty work up to John Hatch.

Conflicts Run Deep On Tribe Board

Deep Conflicts

Bouschor now had control over every aspect of the Tribe. That included the now suspended Chief Of Police Fred Paquin who befriended Bouschor and exposed only what Bouschor wanted to be exposed. Bouschor in return covered up Paquins many unethical actions. Many crimes against Indian people over the years went unnoticed at Bouschors discretion. With no separation of powers the Tribe was lawless.

Tribal Businesses Contribute Only $30 Million For Programs

Big Profits With No Returns

Minimal benefits were received by Tribal Members. At the same time Bouschor was donating money left and right to his special interests. His pet peeve project was Big Bear Arena. Bouschor would often be seen there watching his son play on the team the Members paid for. Once his son left the team Bouschor could no longer be found there. The coach of the team was making $60,000.00 a year more than other coaches in the league.

The Almighty Board

This body eventually found out what Bouschor was up to. What did they do? Nothing. Because Bouschor through Nepotism, Cronyism and favoritism gifted the Boards friends and families with high paying positions and jobs they would never be qualified for in the real world. Many of those gifted are still deeply placed within the Tribe. All these Board Members were accessories to crimes against the Members.

Why We Are Where We Are Today

BERNARD BOUSCHOR!

Had we not paid out the Greeks at a quarter billion plus, we would never be in the position of a forced sale of Greektown. Bouschor and Bouschor alone brokered that deal. All the rest was residual foolishness by Aaron Payment the Chairman to follow Bouschor.

Now we have a Chairman with some integrity who is left to clean-up a mess that there is nothing left to. This Chairman should immediately call for Federal intervention and hold all the people aforementioned accountable for crimes against the Members of the Sault Tribe. Bouschor should immediately be suspended from the Board pending an in depth investigation.

Detroit Pushing Greektown To Sell

Minority owner Ted Gatzaros could move to take control of ailing Casino. Was this the plan all a long, since the conception of the Greektown Casino?

Quote From A Former Manager At Greektown

1. Bernard - His piss poor deal for 260 million with the Greeks (which although I have no proof I will always believe he was well taken care of on that) and his greed in sucking an 800k salary when he should not have gotten a penny

2. Aaron - He had every opportunity to stop the mismanagement at the property and failed miserably. He could have listened to what tribal member employees told him, cleaned house on the management, and saved the property

3 Greektown management - in particular Craig Gelphi who made lots of money for himself and his friends, ran the property into the ground, and has announced his retirement effective 10/31.

We suck at running business.

Greektown Casino Seeks Buyer
CEO Retires

By MARGARITA BAUZA • FREE PRESS BUSINESS WRITER • October 8, 2008

Greektown Casino has hired an investment bank to seek out buyers for the bankrupt casino. A sale is one of the casino’s options for exiting Chapter 11, and the more likely option.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Walter Shapero was expected to file an order today appointing investment bank Moelis & Co. to seek out financing and potential buyers for Greektown.

Chuck Moore, senior managing director at the turnaround consulting firm Conway McKenzie & Dunleavy, which is leading Greektown through its bankruptcy, said a sale is the preferred option by most parties involved and will more than likely be the route sought.

The bank has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Boston, and specializes in restructurings, mergers and acquisitions.

A number of management changes also were announced at the casino board’s monthly meeting today. Greektown Casino CEO Craig Ghelfi announced his retirement, effective Oct. 31.

A new management board is being put in place for the casino.

The board will be reduced from 12 to five members, with four appointees being outside professionals with experience in gambling operations, business restructuring and management. The names will not be disclosed until background investigations are concluded by the state.

The casino announced those changes as it revealed it has missed operating targets for the past two months.

August’s projected revenue was $30.2 million but came in at $26.8 million. September’s projected revenue was $27.4 million but came in at $25.2 million.

The casino missed loan covenants in the bankruptcy financing loan agreement for the month of
August by $500,000. September numbers have not been completed.

Moore said revenue is down 40% at the Pantheon, the casino’s high-limit area, which has been temporarily moved and will reopen on the first floor by the end of November.

Moore said Greektown Casino is aiming to open 200 hotel rooms in January, weeks earlier than its targeted date of Feb. 12, in order to take advantage of the North American International Auto Show.

The casino owes $755 million to banks, bondholders, and former owners. The figure does not include investments by its current majority owner, the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, who have put $47 million into the operation in the past 10 months.

Also at today’s meeting, Rick Kalm announced that four restaurants are being dropped from the casino’s meal comps program as it investigates irregularities. The meal comps program was created as a way for casinos to help compensate local restaurants for the loss of regular business once casinos opened. The complimentary meal coupons are used to reward regular casino customers.

Holiday Inn Express voluntarily dropped out of the program. Sweet Georgia Brown, Laikon Cafe and Bahn Thai Café, all located in Greektown, were dropped for not providing information requested by the casino, such as tax records and receipts.
