RESOLUTION
APPROVED 5-18-2010
MILLER CANFIELD MEDIATION

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sault Tribe Board of Directors agrees to settle with Miller Canfield (SOLELY) related to the 7+2 litigation (Case #04-7606-CC) for the sum of 1 MILLION dollars,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Sault Tribe Board of Directors authorizes its Chairperson, Darwin McCoy to execute all documents related to the release of Miller Canfield from liability and claims related to the 7+2 litigation

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this agreement SHALL NOT release any other parties from the 7 +2 litigation,

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the 1 MILLION dollars received from Miller Canfield SHALL BE immediately added to the Tribes Lands Claims Funds as additional Principal.

This mediated agreement does not release the former Chairman, or remaining employee’s involved in the 7+2 litigation. Jury Trial in October, 2010 in Chippewa County.
