The Manipulator
The Election of 2008 sent a clear message that the Members were tired of the MANIPULATOR Aaron Payment. Throughout Payments 4 years as the Chairman the marquee lights would flicker. The Membership expected change and only received a different face at the helm. For 4 years all Payment did was bicker with the Board and campaign for another 4 years.
The mass mayhem would only put the Tribe further in debt and further away from self-sufficiency. The Members were clearly disappointed and again would change the leadership in the form of Joe McCoy. The drama would continue under McCoy and his merry men. Like those before him, McCoy would not measure up and became a disappointment. His alignment with Bernard Bouschor certainly didn't help.
In the meantime Aaron Payment would move on and obtain employment through Michigan State University. Like the rest of Payments jobs outside the Tribe, this would be short lived. Some say he was terminated for carrying on his political activities with the Sault Tribe while employed for MSU. One may never know the real reason for his abrupt departure from the University.
Upon Payments reception to the area, he immediately would start working behind the scenes facilitating another campaign. With the creation of several websites he begin to again start manipulating the Members. With an arsenal of the same lies and a different approach, the process of manipulation would begin to no avail.
Aaron Payment is on a long road to convincing the Members he needs another chance. He proposes to travel to Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Okemos, Detroit, Traverse City, Flint, Pontiac, and Cheboygan. He claims he is seeking to get Members registered to vote. Without any announcement, Payment is clearly out seeking Members to register to Vote in Unit 1 so they can be persuaded to vote for him. For what other reason would he do this? No doubt he is attempting to manipulate the election process.
The Members in the areas that Payment plans to travel to, need to ask some tough questions of him. Here are some suggestions.
1. Mr. Payment. One of your first acts in Office was to facilitate a pay off to longtime friend Marta Diaz. The panel ruled she was entitled to a nominal reward. Why Mr. Payment was she paid in the neighborhood of $250,000 ?
2. Mr. Payment. Why did you behind the scenes facilitate the pay off of longtime friend Nancie Hatch to a tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars?
3. Mr. Payment. Why did you not initiate the removal of longtime friend Todd Gravelle from the Board when he was arrested for drugs?
4. Mr. Payment. Why did you make hundreds of campaign promises and didn't keep one of them?
5. Mr. Payment why did you not act on the letter sent to Toni Osterhout in 2005 from the Federal Government regarding financial irregularities with Grants in the Tribal Police Department? More to come on this important issue.
These are only a few questions that Aaron Payment holds personal responsibility to. Of course there are hundreds of blanks Aaron Payment needs to fill in. He cannot blame the Board for his personal actions, he cannot blame the Board for the actions he failed to take.
Reports from downstate indicate a low turnout at Payment's recent campaign rallies. This is a clear message that the Members have become wise to his empty promises.
Now is the time for Tribal Members to search back in Payments history. His history is well documented throughout the Sault Tribe Facts Blog.
It's time Payment owned up to his part in the destruction of the Tribe. Cowards like Payment and Bouschor have a problem with the truth.
Join in and help stop the continuance of corrupt leaders.
Is that how you accomplish your goals...on a pack of lies? You give Aaron more credibility with your imaginative false accusations.

This is clearly the most bias BS that I've read in quite sometime. Insid clearly wasn't at the meetings in the LP. I was at one and Aaron never mentioned wanting people to do anything but register and in the unit of their choice. He also made it clear that he had made no decision yet on whether to run again. Of course, he probably will, but that is his right. BB ran again and won with a little help from his friends inside the tribe. Be critical if you wish but at least try to make it balanced. Aaron was no worse than any other chair or BOD member.

Were you one of the three people there? Nice comment Aaron. Everyone knows of how highly you speak of yourself. Insid sure laid a batch of the truth on you.

FYI You have your facts messed up. Aaron never received the Fax sent to Toni Osterhout, is was diverted by Vic Matson, Jr. and she was told by Vic (her supervisor) to contact Fred and let him know about the letter. Then she was told to not discuss it with anyone else. Toni has testified to this in front of the grand jury in March of 2009.
