The latest word is Aaron Payment is appealing the Election results to the BIA. He allegedly wants a referendum to determine if the Election was valid. The understanding is the Board will have to approve his actions.
In the last 4 years Payment has managed to disrespect Children, Elders and our Culture like no one ever in the history of the Tribe. His massive lying caused disharmony against the tribe as a whole that is irreparable.
Like Bouschor, all Payment knows is the Tribe. They both milked the Tribal cow their entire careers. Payment will do anything to prevent himself from getting a real job outside the Tribe, where accountability is a requirement.
Don't expect a smooth transition as Payment like Bouschor only worry about themselves. They both failed in the last election to put their differences aside and have a smooth transition for the WHOLE Tribe.
Payment could care less about the Tribe. He is a self-centered, egoistic, narcissist, and pathological liar. Look for more of his foolishness to continue.
